On my road trip back to Amsterdam, I drove through Luxembourg. I stayed overnight in Luxembourg City and had some time to discover that Luxembourg has a much better bicycle plan than Amsterdam. They have a plan! It has the cute name ‘Veloh‘.

Blue bikes you can pick up throughout the city as part of a rental plan for locals and visitors alike. The bikes look in perfect condition, nobody is tossing them around or trying to own them without permission (Amsterdam style).
To get to know more about Luxembourg City I enjoyed a tourist train ride 
This ride made me think of the ‘The Little Engine That Could’. It really did. Actually I was happy I did not run into somebody I know. It was the kind of ride that makes you feel like an attraction yourself. People looking at you while you are soaking up the story of medieval Luxembourg, terrible wars and the story of Count Siegfried, love and a castle. When the ride ended, the Japanese tourists were waiting and they loved the Little Engine That Could. Taking pictures, smiling a lot and having tons of fun about running into a funny little train with adults coming out of little doors.
Today, Luxembourg is a green and safe place
